Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City is a retreat in the heart of the capital. The hotel combines contemporary design with a relaxed atmosphere and warm Mexican hospitality. Unwind by the outdoor pool, or explore the nearby neighbourhoods of Roma, Condesa and Polanco. With many of the city’s best galleries, restaurants and cultural sights within easy reach, it’s a great location to explore Mexico City.

Set just outside the historic centre, Rosewood San Miguel de Allende takes inspiration from the traditional haciendas of the region, with courtyards, gardens and views across the city’s rooftops. Spend the afternoon by the pool, enjoy Mexican cuisine on site, or head to the rooftop terrace for sunset overlooking the town. San Miguel’s cobbled streets, galleries, restaurants and lively plazas are all a short walk away, making Rosewood an ideal base for experiencing the city

What We’re Doing in Mexico

Atlas Adventures is heading to Mexico, taking in the energy of Mexico City and the colorful charm of San Miguel de Allende.

We’ll start in Mexico City, where our days will be filled with delicious food, culture and plenty of time to explore. We’ll eat our way through the city on a food tour, take to the colourful canals of Xochimilco, and shop our way through some of our favourite neighborhoods, with the opportunity to visit the iconic Frida Kahlo Museum.

From there, we’ll make our way to San Miguel de Allende, stopping at a winery along the way for a taste of Mexican wine country. In San Miguel, we’ll wander its cobbled streets, enjoy a tequila tasting, eat plenty of amazing food and, for those who want to, explore more of the city on a walking tour. With beautiful hotels and a mix of planned experiences and unscheduled time, this trip is all about experiencing two very different sides of Mexico in true Atlas Adventures style.

  • You are extremely flexible, open-minded, easy-going, and always up for a range of experiences.

  • You’re a positive person who looks for the best in all circumstances.

  • You enjoy meeting new people and are keen to make friends on this trip.

  • You desire to be a better traveler: respecting other people, other cultures + the planet along the way.

UNIQUE CONSIDERATIONS FOR MEXICO

  • You’re happy to explore on foot. Both Mexico City and San Miguel de Allende are best experienced by getting out and wandering, so expect a good amount of walking throughout the trip. San Miguel is known for its beautiful cobbled streets, so comfortable shoes are a must.

  • You enjoy good food and drinks. Food is a big part of this trip, from our Mexico City food tour and incredible restaurants to wine and tequila tastings along the way.

  • You’re comfortable at altitude. Both Mexico City and San Miguel sit at a slightly higher elevation than you might be used to, so the first day can feel a little different.

  • You like a mix of planned experiences and free time. We’ll have plenty organised, but there’ll also be time to shop, explore, relax, or choose optional add-ons.
